Walking east along Shore Rd. around the loop from Spruce Cottage or Hickory Ridge will take you on a pleasant 2 mile walk along the shore, by the boat yards, a ship's store, town dock, island bus stop, restaurants, two churches, a manicured croquet course and back through the woods.
